FAUGLIA-PISA
Fauglia is in the province of Pisa borders Collesalvetti (LI), Crespina, Lorenzana, Orciano Pisano and is situated to the South of the lower Valdarno and North of Montescudaio and Val di Cecina. It is crossed by a single road along which overlook buildings, palaces and squares.
On 10 August celebrates the Patron Saint San Lorenzo.
" Castle place amid clapping and fields rich olive groves. Rebelling against Pisa in 1315 by the counts of m. Cowl, he soon returned to obedience, but fell then in power of the Florentines. Now it looks like simple village, because different groups of its houses are intersected at several points by cultivated fields. Towards the middle of the village rise the Tower of the public clock, below which is a loggia pei markets. Further, such short interval, they meet two oratorii, and finally into a lovely rialto, set amid olive groves, is the Provost ship restored in 1712. »
